NAGY’S BODY & FRAME, INC.
COMPANY HISTORY
(In Business since 1972)

Nagy’s Body & Frame, Inc. was established in 1972. Seeing the need for an automotive repair facility in the Doylestown area, Dave Nagy opened his own shop in the garage of his home. He operated the business from the garage until 1972 when he was able to build our original building. This building is now the body repair wing of our repair facility. Dave soon saw the need for frame and unibody equipment. He then purchased our first Chief EZ Liner frame and unibody machine. The business then grew rapidly and by 1979 more room was a necessity. At this time, the frame wing (ease of the body shop wing) was constructed and a second Chief EZ Liner machine was purchased.
By 1986, both customer demand and the need to keep up with the ever changing technologies in the paint field had again put a strain on the present space. In response to this demand, a paint wing was added which included two state-of-the-art paint booths. A DuPont paint mixing machine was also purchased at this time. This allowed us to tint and to blend our paint in-house, which eliminated the need to wait for the delivery of ordered paint. All of our paint is currently mixed in a safe, fireproofed, block room. Our paint mixing equipment and air compressor systems are enclosed in an explosion proof room as well. These rooms provide a clean and safe working environment for our employees. All of these improvements have enabled us to exceed industry standards and to meet our ever-increasing customer demands for quality.
In 1994, again to keep up with current industry changes, our office was computerized. This resulted in a more accurate estimating and billing system and again improved the quality of our repairs by enabling us to use BASF paint formula retrieval system. In 1996, we added a second state-of-the-art paint room which included two downdraft paint stations. This addition has given us over 5,000 square feet of space dedicated solely to refinishing automobiles.
In 2005, we saw a need in the Wayne County area for an additional repair facility. We renovated an existing 7,000 square foot building in Wooster and opened our second location, Nagy’s Collision Center. In 2007 the 2 suite office building was completed with the main office and estimating center occupying one suite and “Hertz” rental car company occupying the other. We have taken care to have both locations operate with the same efficiency and quality.
This is how our repair facility stands today. We have taken pride in responding to both customer and industry demands. We are constantly upgrading our equipment as well as the knowledge and skill level of our technicians in order to repair vehicles as correctly and as quickly as possible.
Look for Nagy’s Collision to have a grand opening at a 3rd location in February 2008.
